Sergio ‘Kun’ Agüero was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on the 2nd June 1988 He started playing football at the age of 9, when he joined the Independiente’s Youth Team. He was signed by Atletico Madrid in 2006, before joining Manchester City on July 27th, 2011.
Sergio Agüero has carved his name into Manchester City history as the club’s all-time top goal scorer. This City legend was a record signing for the club at £38 million in 2011. The Argentine made his debut for City on August 15th, 2011 against Swansea at the Etihad and then went on to score 30 times in this title-winning first season. One of City’s most iconic moments belongs to Agüero, as he scored the crucial 93:20 goal to beat QPR and seal the Club’s first Premier League title at the expense of Manchester United, on the final day of the season in 2012.
